You
are invited to attend the 31st Sermon Seminar at Austin Graduate
School of Theology. The Seminar is open to all preachers, ministers,
Bible class teachers, and church
leaders. The goal of the Seminar is to provide practical material for preachers
and Bible class teachers. There is also time to fellowship with others and build
relationships with people from various parts of the country.
Sermon Seminar will start
on Monday afternoon at 4:00 p.m. and will conclude on Wednesday at 1:00. The
featured speakers will be Dr. Allan McNicol on "Jesus' Parables in Matthew: Reading Them to a Complacent Church;"
Dr. David Garland, "Preaching from Luke;" Dr. Brent Isbell, "The Life of King David;" Dr. David Worley, "Our Tradition, Our Identity as Churches of Christ;" Dr. Jim Reynolds, "New Testament Narrative;" and Dr. Mark Shipp, "From Text to Sermon."
